On March 11, 2022 Ambassador of Yemen to Pakistan, Non-resident to Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Maldives and (designed to) Kyrgyzstan H.E. Mr. Mohammed Alashabi visited IOFS headquarter to have a meeting with the IOFS’s Director of the Cooperation and Protocol Office, Ambassador Daulet Yemberdiyev.
Parties exchanged views on enhancing relationships and bilateral cooperation aimed at enhancing joint initiatives within Year for Africa 2022 project, as well as OFS humanitarian programs and Afghanistan Food Security Programme, “2022 IOFS Year of Africa” projects.
Other highlights during the meeting included discussing mutual collaboration between the IOFS and the Yemeni government and considering conflict-driven humanitarian and economic situation in Yemen with the aim to find feasible ways of identifying emergencies to provide social safety nets and humanitarian assistance to stabilize food insecurity in Yemen.
