On March 3, 2022 the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) held a virtual meeting with representatives of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA), and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC).
Director General of the IOFS H.E. Yerlan A. Baidaulet during the opening speech elaborated on the current status of the implementation of the Afghanistan Food Security Program (AFSP) and reviewed the aspects of its further implementation through mutual cooperation.
Parties exchanged views on developing Organizations’ joint actions in implementing the food security projects, including hunger and malnutrition with the aim to ensure food and nutrition safety, sustainable agricultural development.
Following the discussion, parties expressed their strong commitment to developing a collaboration to share visions on active involvement of private sector in AFSP and propose advancing initiatives for joint actions under the framework of AFSP.
