On May 4, 2023, H.E. Prof. Yerlan Alimzhanuly Baidaulet, Director General of IOFS and Chairman of IFPA, and Mr. Isroilhocha Samandarov, Director of Farovon Group signed a Corporate membership agreement with the subsidiary of IOFS, International Islamic Food Processing Association (IFPA).
Farovon Group, one of Tajikistan's top agri-food companies, has diversified production and trading companies that produce flour, vegetable oil, chicken eggs, chicken meat, and animal feed. Farovon Group has been in business for nearly 20 years, employing over 1800 people and experiencing a yearly increase in turnover. The company began its operations in 2003 with the launch of a single flour mill with a production capacity of 20 tons per day, and now it holds a 40% share of the Tajikistan flour market.
It is important to note that Farovon Group is also a partner of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The Director General of IOFS called on the company to also join the humanitarian efforts of IOFS, highlighting prospects for cooperation through the Afghanistan Food Security Program.
