IOFS signs Memorandum of Understanding and Action Plan with WDO

Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - On 17 January 2024, the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) Ambassador ASKAR Mussinov and the Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO) Dr. Afnan Alshuaiby officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Action Plan between the two institutions.

The MoU outlines possible ways of cooperation between two OIC institutions aimed at protection, leadership, and empowerment, education, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment of women. Joint initiatives like "Build your own agri-business" and "IOFS Food Security Education Forum" spotlight women in agriculture. A collaborative commitment endeavours to achieve outlined objectives and advancing women's development within the food security sector.

The Director General of IOFS expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing collaboration with the Women Development Organization (WDO) and conveyed his aspirations for its continued growth. Both parties expressed mutual interest in fortifying their partnership and deliberated on the optimal modalities for implementing the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Joint Plan of Action.
