The Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) participated in the panel discussion, titled "Technology and Innovation to Increase Resilience and Support Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation," which delved into a range of critical topics during the World Investment Forum 2023 in Abhu Dhabi, UAE. The event, held on 17 October, gathered global experts to discuss the following crucial themes:

1. Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritania: The panel addressed these countries and inquired about the ways in which they were supporting innovation and technology for the transition in the agrifood sector. Specific elements and approaches employed were highlighted to gain insights into their resilience efforts.
2. International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD): The discussion explored IFAD's approach to supporting technology and innovation to enhance resilience to climate change. Panelists identified technologies that can drive the transformation of agrifood systems, making them more robust in the face of shocks and stresses.
3. Interamerican Development Bank: The session delved into the financing aspect, with a focus on how the Interamerican Development Bank supported countries in enabling innovation and transition. The bank's approach to target specific sectors and technologies was discussed.
4. Civil Society - Self-Employed Women’s Association:The role of civil society in implementing innovation and transition within agrifood systems was a key point of discussion. Panelists shared their insights on the contributions of civil society in this transformative journey.
5.Islamic Organization for Food Security: IOFS provided an overview of its programs aimed at fostering agritech development, with specific examples illustrating how new technologies were enhancing the resilience of agrifood systems and improving food security in member countries.
6. Boston Consulting Group (BCG): The private sector's role in enhancing climate change resilience within agrifood systems was explored. Experts from the Boston Consulting Group elaborated on the technologies and innovation strategies that the private sector should pursue.
7. Bizilance Legal Consultants: A presentation of the FAO Regulatory framework for agricultural data in the Near East and North Africa region report was delivered, shedding light on the regulatory framework for agricultural data.
