Highlights from the Meeting Between IOFS Experts and the GCC Permanent Committee for Food Security

On 09 January 2024, a meeting was held between a team of experts from the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and members of the Permanent Committee for Food Security of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC). During this meeting, the IOFS team presented a detailed overview of the organization's most prominent programs and activities, with a specific focus on key areas of cooperation such as wheat development, livestock, water resource management, climate change, gene banks, etc. The meeting also explored ways and means of mutual collaboration and the potential for implementing various activities in 2024, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two sides in 2022.
