IOFS – HBKU Webinar: “Mobilizing Finance for Sustainable Agriculture and Agriculture Productivity”
26 February 2024

Agricultural GHG emissions, deforestation rates, high climate change susceptibility, and habitat loss are risks to agri-food systems. These risks have an increasing impact on both food systems and finance. Major Agric food system stakeholders are faced with the puzzle of financing the sustainable transformative and transition vision of 2030 especially at the period when government expenditure on ODA and agricultural investment is declining.

The webinar aims to discuss the current landscape of sustainable agriculture finance, the enabling ecosystem, and the potential of Islamic finance to achieve food security and improve agriculture productivity.
