IOFS officials held a meeting with the National Agrarian Scientific-Educational Center

Representatives of the Islamic Organisation For Food Security (IOFS) headed by Director General Mr. Yerlan Baidaulet held a meeting with the head of the National Agrarian Scientific-Educational Center (NASEC), represented by Mr. T.S. Rakhimbekov. During the meeting, parties discussed the possibility of signage of a Memorandum of Understanding. Within the framework of the Memorandum, further development of bilateral relations in the following areas is planned: 

*Development of specialized dialogue on food safety and halal between scientists of Kazakhstan and OIC/IOFS countries through seminars, conferences and round tables.

*Enhancement of support of training and experience exchange of national experts in scientific-technical and agricultural fields in the OIC / IOFS member countries. It should be noted that the representative of the NASEC, Mrs A. M. Esimbekova will participate in the second consultative seminar “Project on the use of plant genetic resources for genus development and integration into the seed system” to be held on November 18-19, 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the active support of the Institute for Industrial Safety.

 *Supporting cooperation and partnership between domestic and OIC / IOFS countries' scientific and technical associations or institutions through provision of information, experience exchange, attraction of Islamic finance and mediation.
It should be noted that IOFS plans to create «Center for Scientific Technologies» in a 3-year program, which should favorably influence scientific work in the agricultural field of OIC / IOFS countries.

For reference: “NASEC” is a scientific and educational center, a single operator for interacion between the government, businesses and scientific and educational institutions in the agricultural field of Kazakhstan. NASEC involves three national universities and more than 18 state scientific institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
