The Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), in collaboration with the Women Development Organization (WDO) and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), successfully conducted an online workshop on "Economic Empowerment and Climate Resilience of Smallholder Rural Women Farmers for Food Security" on 26th September 2024.

The workshop featured three key sessions: success stories of rural women empowerment, tailored educational and capacity-building programs, and strategies for accessing markets and financial resources. Expert speakers from Algeria, Oman, Syria, Somalia, Pakistan, Jordan, and across the Islamic region.

The event fostered valuable discussions on enhancing the role of women in agriculture, equipping them with the skills needed to improve productivity, adapt to climate change, and achieve economic growth. The workshop contributed to building a strong network of leaders dedicated to supporting the empowerment of rural women farmers.
