In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, President Sadyr Zhaparov has mandated the implementation of 100 projects to boost Kyrgyzstan's agro-industrial sector, as reported by Kabar. Out of these, 96 projects are actively underway, focusing on diverse fields such as fish farming, poultry, animal husbandry, and wool processing. To date, 19 projects have secured over 1 billion soms in funding from the Agro-Industrial Complex Lending Program, supported by Aiyl Bank, Eldik Bank, and various bilateral and international development funds. Additionally, 8 more projects have been approved for over 760 million soms in financing, with funds to be disbursed following procedural completion. The remaining 69 projects are in various stages of securing financing, addressing land issues, and obtaining permits. The initiative emphasizes supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming to enhance job creation, socio-economic conditions in rural areas, and national food security. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry is working closely with financial institutions to ensure the successful implementation and sustainable development of these projects.
