Abu Dhabi, UAE - 28 November 2024 – The Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn met with H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), to explore avenues for collaboration in advancing food security and agricultural development across Organization of Islamic Cooperation ( OIC ) Member States.
During the meeting, the IOFS Director General expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the organization’s vision, strategy, and ongoing projects. He highlighted the critical importance of development and humanitarian initiatives undertaken by IOFS in various Member States of the OIC, particularly in Africa and among the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). He called for stronger cooperation and invited ADFD’s support in scaling these efforts to address pressing food security challenges.
H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi commended IOFS for its focus on food security and sustainable agriculture, recognizing the importance of these areas for global development. He affirmed ADFD’s willingness to explore synergies and identify opportunities for joint projects that align with the missions of both organizations.
Both sides agreed to appoint technical teams to further refine the details of potential cooperation and to ensure the effective implementation of shared initiatives. This agreement underscores the commitment of IOFS and ADFD to fostering meaningful partnerships that contribute to sustainable development and resilience in OIC Member States.
