Caspian Agro and InterFood Azerbaijan exhibitions are to be held in Baku
27 May 2024

In May 2024, Baku is set to host two significant international exhibitions focusing on agriculture and the food industry, essential sectors of Azerbaijan's non-oil economy. The 17th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition, Caspian Agro, and the 29th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition, InterFood Azerbaijan, will take place from May 15-17 at the Baku Expo Center. These exhibitions have garnered immense attention from both the government and industry stakeholders, with President Ilham Aliyev making annual visits, underlining their significance for Azerbaijan and the wider region. Supported by various government agencies and sponsors like traktor.az, Rostselmash, and STP companies, the exhibitions are expected to host approximately 500 companies from 38 countries, showcasing the latest advancements and innovations in agriculture and food processing.

Notably, debut participation from Turkmenistan and Venezuela expands the geographical scope of international cooperation. Moreover, more than 30% of the participants represent local companies, showcasing Azerbaijan's commitment to domestic production and economic diversification. Caspian Agro, the largest agricultural exhibition in the region, will feature various sections, including agricultural machinery, livestock, and innovative technologies. Concurrently, InterFood Azerbaijan will serve as a platform for product sales and networking opportunities for participants. The exhibitions will also host the "International Forum on Agricultural Innovations," facilitating discussions on sustainable agriculture and climate change. Bilateral business meetings will provide avenues for potential collaborations, with memorandum signings between key industry players expected. Additionally, the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon will debut, promoting agricultural technology solutions.

Tours for farmers and culinary championships add to the diverse event program, reflecting the exhibitions' comprehensive approach. Given the overwhelming interest, plans to extend the 2025 exhibitions to four days demonstrate the growing significance of these events in advancing Azerbaijan's agricultural sector and fostering international cooperation. Organized by Caspian Event Organisers, with support from ASTA, the exhibitions promise to be instrumental in shaping the future of Azerbaijan's food and agricultural industry, offering valuable networking opportunities and showcasing the country's commitment to sustainable development.
