On July 01, 2022 subsidiary of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) -the International Islamic Food Processing Association (IFPA) held an enlarged bilateral meeting with Honorary and Corporate Members.
Chairman of IFPA and Director General of IOFS HE Mr. Yerlan A. Baidaulet during the address highlighted overview of the key strategic vision of IOFS and main developments of IFPA. Furthermore, IOFS Director General introduced UAE Food & Beverage Manufacturers Group (FBMG) Chairman, Mr. Saleh Lootah. FBMG Chairman’s vast experience and expertise in the food industry through dealing with startups and established businesses allows to lead the International IFPA soon.
The hybrid meeting integrated several members joined virtually from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan, Exporters Association of Uzbekistan, and participants from Kazakhstan and Tatarstan provided a lively discussion concerning International IFPA activity and sharing ideas on strengthening inter-OIC B2B agri-food sector market. Additionally, speakers touched upon current geopolitical challenges toughened by recent interstate tensions and implementing impactful actions towards mitigating crises.
Mr. Saleh Abdullah Lootah presented visions on concrete steps in collaboration, particularly through the involvement of private sector enterprises to explore opportunities on activities and projects in supporting agri-food trade and investors in the intra-OIC countries through the IFPA’s multilateral private sector platform.
